2B Sure - New Anode Antifouling System

Never Antifoul Again!

2B Sure is a revolutionary electrical antifouling system, which prevents underwater growth without painting.  The new anode antifouling system does not require contact with the hull, is environmentally friendly and protects both the hull and stern gear leading to improved performance and reduced fuel costs.

2B Sure was launched in Australia by Global Marine Group, the company that also sells a range of innovative products designed to protect boats such as drive on dock systems, in-water mooring systems, hydraulic tender lifts and platforms.

The 2B Sure antifouling system works on any hull material and features two electrodes which are suspended just below the waterline, one at the bow and one at the stern. These are connected to a control box, which sends an electrical current to the anodes and releases a limited cloud of copper ions into the water. These do not harm sea life or the environment.

The movement of the ions along the electrical field within the water prevents fouling - the growth of barnacles, mussels and other forms of unwanted organic matter that can seriously affect boat speed, performance and fuel consumption.

The 2B Sure antifouling system has been tested by The Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ).  This involved extensive testing on boats and North Sea navigation buoys - with great success.  The results for boats and ships is consistent unimpaired performance, reduced fuel charges and considerable savings in the costs of lift out, boat scrub, bottom paint and burnishing.

2B Sure is simple to install and operates on AC, 12V or Solar power. Minimal power is used and the field density and strength of the ions can be adjusted from the control box.

A single 2B Sure antifouling system is sufficient for boats up to 20 metres long. For bigger craft, two or more systems can be used together.
